Bridging the Blues starts next weekend! Lineups for the Sam Chatmon Blues Festival & Delta Busking Festival

Bridging the Blues kicks off on Friday with the Delta Busking Festival in Clarksdale, which presents two stages of music with no charge during the afternoons of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Festival is intentionally structured to complement the live music in local clubs in the evenings.

The full schedule is below -- for a continually updated guide to clubs in Clarksdale visit the music calendar on the website of Cathead Delta Blues & Folk Art, which is presenting the Delta Busking Festival together with Theo Dasbach's Rock & Blues Museum

This Saturday Hollandale, the longtime home of Mississippi Sheik Sam Chatmon, is celebrating the Sam Chatmon Blues Festival, which takes place downtown throughout the today, also with free admission.

Another BTB event this weekend is Indian Bayou Arts Festival in Indianola, home of the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center. The Festival takes place in front of the Museum from 9am to 4pm on Saturday.
