Soul Blues legends Willie Clayton and Peggy Scott Adams in Greenwood this Friday

Peggy Scott-Adams, who lives on the West Coast and doesn't visit the South too often, recorded many wonderful duos (as Peggy Scott) together with Jo Jo Benson in late '60s ("Pickin' Wild Strawberries," "Lover's Holiday."). More recently she's had hits on the soul blues scene with songs including "Bill."

A native of Indianola, Willie Clayton began his recording career in the early '70s, when he recorded for Memphis' Hi Records. He achieved success in the '80s on Jackson's Ace label with songs including "Equal Oppurtunity," and more recently has landed songs on the Top 25 Urban Adult Contemporary Airplay Billboard singles charts
